Stakeholder & Social Value Advisor
We're seeking a Stakeholder & Social Value Advisor to join our team for a major infrastructure project in the Chester area. This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in the local community, working closely with residents, businesses, and partners to deliver meaningful social value and engagement.
The role is based in/around Chester and you will be working on site or in the community 3-4 days a week.
This is a 2 year fixed term contract.
As a Stakeholder & Social Value Advisor, you'll:
- Lead stakeholder engagement for the Cheshire project, ensuring local residents, businesses, and community groups are informed and involved throughout delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with challenging stakeholders, including local businesses and residents.
- Plan and deliver social value activities that leave a lasting, positive legacy.
- Manage communications, organise local engagement events, and act as a trusted link between the project team and the community.
You'll work with our Stakeholder & Social Value Manager, Project Managers, and wider delivery teams, as well as key customers and partners, including local authorities, community groups, and schools.

You'll bring…
- Local knowledge of Cheshire
- Experience in a community engagement or public liaison role, with the confidence to manage complex or challenging relationships with stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organisational ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on time.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with the confidence to work both independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Good level of written and spoken English (Essential)
- Current valid UK Driving Licence (Essential)
- DBS Check or ability to obtain one (Essential)
- Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in Community Engagement, Social Value, Communications, or Project Management
- STEM Ambassador / EDI qualification (Desirable)
