Electrification and Plant (E&P) Supervisor
We are recruiting for an Electrification and Plant (E&P) Supervisor to join us here at Octavius.

You'll be working on…. (what your role and responsibility is)
Supporting the site management team in the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of Electrification and Plant works across our rail portfolio.
You'll supervise site activities and coordinate people, suppliers and resources to ensure work is delivered safely and in line with the agreed programme, technical requirements and relevant standards. You'll promote a strong safety culture, lead by example and make sure that safe systems of work, permits, daily records and site documentation are maintained accurately.
You'll monitor progress, provide timely updates to the site management team and help resolve issues before they affect delivery. You'll also support the management of defects and project close-out, encouraging a right-first-time approach to quality throughout the works.

A team of highly motivated and dedicated professionals delivering technically complex electrification and power infrastructure across the Southern Renewals Enterprise.
You'll work closely with Site and Project Managers, engineers, operatives, specialist suppliers and wider project stakeholders, building positive working relationships and creating a collaborative site environment where everyone understands their responsibilities.

About you…. (what you are skilled at)
You're an experienced and safety-focused Supervisor who is comfortable coordinating activity within a live rail environment.
You'll be able to:
- Lead by example and promote the highest standards of safety, quality and professionalism.
- Coordinate site teams, specialist suppliers, plant and resources effectively.
- Communicate clear instructions and ensure people understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Work collaboratively with site management, engineers, customers and supply-chain partners.
- Monitor progress against the programme and provide accurate and timely site updates.
- Maintain the required permits, records, daily diaries and other site documentation.
- Identify issues early and take a practical, solutions-focused approach.
- Build trust and motivate teams to deliver safely and effectively, including when working under pressure.
You'll bring… (your wealth of experience & qualifications)
- Previous supervisory experience within rail Electrification and Plant, electrical infrastructure or a related engineering environment.
- Knowledge of relevant E&P disciplines, which may include HV feeders, HV/DC distribution, earthing, NSCDs and LV switchgear.
- Experience working safely within an operational railway environment.
- A minimum SSSTS qualification, ideally with SMSTS or a willingness to work towards it.
- The appropriate CSCS card.
- PTS where required, alongside any other role-specific competencies.
- A reasonable level of IT capability and confidence maintaining accurate digital and written site records.
- An industry-recognised engineering, construction or electrical qualification, or equivalent knowledge gained through relevant training and practical experience.
